Here is a little information about two codes that may show up if u are running a CAI on your tC P0101 is MAF or VAF A Circuit Range/Perf this will usually show up with another code P0171 System too lean bank 1. If either or both of these codes have shown up and u have had your Toyota/Scion Dealer install a TRD CAI then here is a little word of advice from me because I experienced these same codes as soon as the dealer installed my TRD CAI.
First thing is first check for a leak where there might be any hose clamps make sure all hose clamps are tight most dealer mechanics are getting lazy and using the air ratchet to tighten the hose clamps. also check your MAF sensor usually connected to the top of the Cold Air Intake make sure it is plugged and clipped all the way in. Secondly make sure the CAI is actually connected to the engine this is where my troubles were the dealer did not put a hose clamp on the intake where it meets the grommet on the engine big ouch there that will def make you run a check engine light that was what my problem was
If that still does not solve your problem buy or borrow a vacuum leak tester and check for any vacuum leaks. But if all else fails take it back to the dealer and tell them to do a check to see if there is any leaks or what not. I hope this information is helpful to all out there having problems with a Cold Air Intake
